Honey Maid Upcycles Negative Comments

I am a regular Honey Maid crackers customer because I make s’mores pretty regularly over our gas stove (do not judge me), but I’m a FOREVER customer now. I’m in love with this messaging and how Honey Maid turned all this around.

Honey Maid’s original ad celebrating wholesome families:


Because the ad featured same-sex parents and diverse families, they did get someĀ negative feedback. What they did with that feedback literally brought tears to my eyes.

“The only one thing [that] really matters when it comes to family…”


The real inspiration? They got 10 TIMES the amount of positive feedback. Good > Evil.

I could talk about the marketing, the social media aspect, good PR, etc., but it’s really just a good message, a great response to negativity and I love that they show all kinds of families and the power of love and how it can spread.
