Comr.se Platform Lets Users Buy Products Directly from their Social Stream

Let’s talk some sales stats:

– Compared to 2012, there has been a 357% increase in sales from social traffic. (ShopSocially)

91% of e-commerce retailers saw a lift in their SEO rank thanks to social referrals. (ShopSocially)

– From Jan.- June 2013, social traffic to e-commerce sites created a revenue increase of 17.8%. (ShopSocially)

65% of consumers use social media to find gifts for people. (Crowdtap)

About Comr.se:

Comr.se allows brands to integrate purchase opportunities for buyers without ever having to leave their social media stream. The platform syncs with already existing payment info and lets customers view and purchase items on social and mobile.

They addressed the issue: consumers are searching for products via social media, so why not give them the opportunity to buy right there after they search?

Why this works:

Chief Technology Officer and co-founder John Wantz explained:

Consumers don’t want to leave the environments they choose to be in. In-context purchase nudges the customer closer to the purchase. Whether they are engaged in content on a news site, or checking up on friends in a social stream, in order for a brand to capture the opportunity with that consumer we needed to bring a full brand experience to the consumers in the environments they connect with brands.

Can I use it now?

Comr.se has already partnered with Hurley, Obey Clothing, Incase and Starbucks. They are already operational on Facebook, and should be on Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest soon, just in time for holiday shopping. For Pinterest, this will break new ground in online shopping by powering full transactions within a Pin for the first time ever, converting inspiration into impulse with just a few clicks. This could *finally* answer social media’s questionable ROI in some cases.

Would it be more convenient for you to buy products straight from your social stream?
