Ever since I discovered IFTTT my life has been a little easier. That’s no exaggeration. And it does it automatically. Literally any solution I want for any social network or social anything out there is on this network.
Forget to share a photo to Twitter? IFTTT does it.
Want to backup all your tweets to Google Drive? IFTTT does it.
Want a text reminder to drink water? IFTTT does it.
Want to send links from tweets you favorite to your feed.ly? IFTTT does it.
Want to add pictures you’re tagged in to Flicker? IFTTT does it.
If you want something done, IFTTT does it. There’s a recipe for ANYTHING there.
How it works:
If you have a problem, you create or browse for a social recipe on IFTTT’s website. Yes it’s free and all the services are free (that I’ve encountered thus far).
It works with their “if this then that” concept across hundreds of channels including social, email, mobile apps, text, etc. If you want something to happen, IFTTT has a recipe for it that you activate and it automatically starts. All recipes can be turned on and off.
I wanted a new email every time Netflix had a new streaming release. I wanted to know what was new on Netflix. IFTTT has a recipe for if there’s a few feed item then I get an email.
I want an email every time a new book is added to Kindle’s top 100 free books list. IFTTT has a recipe for if there’s a new book added then I get an email.
Here’s my archived tweets in Google Drive too. It’s auto-updated every time I tweet.
Make your life easier, get more out of what you’re using online and really get organized with this website. There’s also an iPhone app for it to get even more usage.
DO IT FOR YOU.
