Every second on the Internet… a living infographic

I know the Internet is colossal (understatement), but as I stared at this living infographic of what happens every single second on the Internet, my mind was blown.

Visit http://onesecond.designly.com and follow the stats as they show how many Reddit votes are casts, Instagram photos uploaded, emails sent, tweets sent, Facebook statuses updated and more.

You can barely scroll through the  number of Google searches and emails sent. The number since you started out on the page continuously grows as well.

I know there are a lot of networks and outlets to send messages through and constantly update, but cross-channel marketing is extremely important and now more than ever. With more and more people joining social media every single day, the content has to get better and better and brands have to keep those outlets updated.

Your audience is genuinely unique to your brand and your pages. Find out what works for your audience on your outlets and stick with that. Experiment, take some risks and have fun!

Visit the above page if you need more convincing that there ARE people on the channels your brand is spending time on.
