What can give a bad first impression at a networking event?

This was the first question in the #u30pro chat this past week:
Q1: As young professionals, what is one thing that can give a bad first impression at a networking event? #u30pro

Everyone had really good answers so I made a new Storify post here with everyone’s answers from the questions.

Definitely read this post because there are some GREAT tips for networking at events… the Do’s and the Don’ts.

  1. love this post! i would have never guessed the drink in the right hand would put someone off. Networking can be such an awkward situation haha

    1. Hi!

I’m so glad you loved this! It was very helpful to me too. Sometimes there are things we just don’t think about, which is why it’s good to discuss it with others. Networking can be awkward sometimes, but beneficial most other times. For me, it took practice.
