February 2013 - Started as Junior Account Executive with Hunter Public Relations in NYC
December 2012 - Graduated from Western Carolina University and moved to Stamford, CT with Jarrett
October 2012 - PRSSA National Conference in San Francisco, CA
June 2012 - Began term as PRSSA National President
May 2012 - Moved to Atlanta, GA for my internship in consumer PR with Trevelino/Keller Communications Group
March 2012 - Named on Arik Hanson’s list of 15 up-and-coming PR pros to watch in 2012 list
March 2012 - Elected as the PRSSA National President for the 2012-2013 year
January 2012 - #39 on top Public Relations Experts to Follow on Twitter list
October 2011 - Named #1 top person on “Future of PR” list
October 2011 - PRSSA National Conference in Orlando and National Student News Media Convention in Orlando
August 2011 - Started Chapter of the Month for PRSSA National (now Pacesetter Recognition)
June 2011 - Began term as PRSSA National Vice President of Public Relations and attended PRSSA Leadership Rally in Scottsdale, AZ
March 2011 - Held the very successful Public Safety Fair for client, CatTracker [the WCU emergency alert system]
March 2011 - Attended PRSSA National Assembly in Seattle and was elected to the position of Vice President of Public Relations for the PRSSA 2011-2012 National Committee
February 2011 - Attended Social Fresh Tampa conference and ECU PRSSA’s Regional Activity
January 2011 - Held social media workshop focusing on Twitter and LinkedIn for the WCU PRSSA Chapter
January 2011 - Started editorial assistant internship with Social Fresh and named Social Media Coordinator for The Western Carolinian
November 2010 - Turned my PR blog into my own website and created new website/blog for WCU PRSSA
September 2010 - Joined The Western Carolinian [WCU student newspaper] staff
July 2010 - Named Director of PR and Marketing for the WCU Student Government Association
April 2010 - Held very successful ‘Dillsboro on Display‘ event on the WCU campus with 500+ people in attendance
March 2010 - Held a successful social media workshop for business owners of the town of Dillsboro
January 2010 - Became account coordinator for the town of Dillsboro Campaign (a collaboration between WCU and the town of Dillsboro)
December 2009 - Named WCU PRSSA President
August 2009 - Began digital marketing internship within the PR/marketing department at WCU, named Leadership and Marketing Coordinator for Last Minute Productions and created my blog and began blogging
January 2009 - Named Multimedia Coordinator for Last Minute Productions
