Let me be the first to tell you (or the 1,000th)... the life of a new pro is a little hard. It's hard to find where everything fits and it's especially difficult to find time to do everything.
Here's my day:
6:30 am - wake up!
6:45 am - walk the dog
7:00 am - HURRY to get dressed
7:30 am - leave for the train station
7:50 am - train leaves
8:40 am - train arrives to Grand Central
9:15 am - arrive to work after walking to work
9:15 am - 5:15 pm work work work all day long
5:15 pm - leave work
5:30 pm - train departs Grand Central
6:20 pm - arrive back to train station
6:45 pm - arrive home
7:00 pm - start dinner
8:00 pm - time with Jarrett and Lanie
10:00 to 11 pm - exhaustion and bedtime
It's a long day... every single day!
Don't get me wrong, I love social media, I love Twitter Chats, I love blogging and I like browsing Pinterest for a while... but I just can't do it anymore. I don't have the long hours I used to when I could do everything. People ask me how do I still keep up with 15+ social networks and I'm honestly not sure.
SO, I've really been unplugging at night. When I leave work at 5:15, I don't really get online at all. I may on the train ride, but I really save that time to read. I may check email, but I'm not on my computer or my phone at home.
After a long day, it's nice NOT to be looking at a computer or trying to keep up with my online presence. It's hard work managing everything and I'd rather be in my real life than trying to fix every single thing online, write a new post just because, put up a new slideshare, pin a few new pins, etc.
Try it at night and try it on the weekends! GET OFF the computer and really get out!
I promise, it's worth it!
