9:45 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. Today has been a rather slow day. Laura has been out of the office most of the morning, so I have just been posting on Twitter and Facebook about events on campus and the SGA elections.
There is also a campaign on campus for the WCU Center for Leadership to win a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project, so I have been facebooking and tweeting about that too.Vote to give this idea 50K: Develop 10,000 leaders in Cullowhee, NC for tomorrow's challenges. #pepsirefresh http://pep.si/c46zvF
Krissy, another PR girl, and I actually got asked by Mark Haskett, who runs the WCU Photography area, to go down with him the Fine and Performing Arts Center (FPAC) so he could take photos of us for the new FPAC website that is going live on Friday! He took pics of us in front of the ticket booth and those photos will actually be on the website.
Also, Laura and I talked about my VERY successful Dillsboro on Display event which was on the UC Lawn on Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It was a campaign for Dillsboro to be re-introduced to the students here at WCU. There was about 20 businesses present that included food, dog treats, pottery, crafts, a christmas store, and more! It was set up vendor style and was super successful! I also asked Laura's opinion on a social media problem with two Dillsboro Facebooks and Twitter and she said that it might not look good, but you could definitely spin it to where there was a lot of talking about Dillsboro on the social media sites, so we will see about that.
