October and #PRSSA: National Conference and Relationship Month
This is a HUGE month for PRSSA and PRSA. We have two major things going on:
- National Conference
- PRSSA/PRSA Relationship Month
The National Committee is leaving for National Conference in San Francisco next Wednesday! So we have ONE week left! We’ve been counting down for a while, so it’s incredible that it’s almost here. Our team, PRSSA HQ and the Conference Committee have done a great job getting ready for this event.
These blog posts from Progressions will be VERY helpful to you for National Conference:

Also be on the lookout for more upcoming posts and updates from National Conference!
Now to PRSSA/PRSA Relationship Month:
This is a very important month for us because just as PRSSA is essential to us and our growth and development in college, PRSA is just as essential to us after. It is another huge network of professionals and resources available to us. The PRSSA to PRSA transition rate is important and it can start here with this initial contact and relationship building between the two organizations.
Every PRSSA Chapter has a sponsor PRSA Chapter. If you don’t know who they are, let me know and we will get you contact information. The Vice President of Professional Development, Danielle Stewart, is the lead for this initiative this month.
Where you can start:
- Check out the 2012-2013 Relationship Month Manual
- Read the Networking Into PRSA: Starting Up Relationship Month post
- Read the 3 Ways to Join Relationship Month post
- Reach out to your PRSA Chapter for networking events, lunch meetups and other opportunities
- Continue to build and strengthen your relationship year round.
As you can see, this is a lot for October! Always feel free to reach out if you have any questions, concerns or comments about PRSSA, National Conference, PRSA or Relationship Month.
