What do you want to accomplish with your blog?
Topic #102 from The Daily Post WordPress Challenge
Question – What do I want to accomplish with my blog?
When I first started this blog, before it was my website, it was mostly a log of internship hours and a task log of different ideas, accomplishments and tasks. Needless to say, it wasn’t really a blog.
When I actually started blogging, in May of 2010, here was my first post: Improving my web presence and my first “how-to” post was slightly before that: Top 10 Twitter Tips.
I’ve come a long way with blogging! After I completed my first internship, I wanted to continue blogging about PR, social media, marketing and more. I knew those were my passions and I knew I could post my own thoughts on issues/topics within those subjects and it would generally reach the same audience that I was in.
Where am I now with my blog?
With my blog right now, I’m focusing on more helpful posts for students and new professionals. I have my series “job hunting via social media” and I’ve had quite a few posts within that trying to help students with their job hunt. I’ve also had a new post on how to save money using foursquare, how ethics can be fun, is social media hindering us? and more.
The angle I’m going at, like I said, is to be a helpful blog with advice and such from my personal experience and knowledge of different topics. I want to be a resource.
I hope you find my blog and website useful and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you or any questions I can answer!

I’ve actually be struggling with this lately. Trying to figure out what I’d like to do with my site, and brand in general. I enjoy so many things and wonder if I should just write about a few or discuss all of them.
Finding the same problem w/ Twitter & FB as well. I’d like to be a resource but of how many things? What do I want people to follow me for you know? Maybe I should do this as a blog post bc this is turning into a very long comment haha.
